Speech Recognition with Phillip Hunter
Speech recognition is mostly known for use in desktop dictation and interactive voice response applications. While there's been some exploration into other areas, such growth is still early-stage. Recently, though, multiple companies have begun looking at the mobile phone as an area of promise for apps that can make use of speech recognition. Of course, many of us realize the irony of the "new" thought of using your voice with a phone. So, the question becomes, "Why is this being seen as a new opportunity now and what does that opportunity look like?"
